Joining Yin Yoga and Thai Yoga to create a completely new experience for your body, mind, and soul. Yin Yoga is a slow-paced practice where postures are held for a longer duration. The longer held poses in yin yoga allows for the perfect opportunity to explore the ancient practice of Thai Yoga. Thai Yoga combines yoga assisted stretching, breath coaching, and acupressure on specific meridians or sen lines on the body. Each of these lines correlates with one of the 5 elements of Chinese Medicine (Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Space). As we move through class different questions will be asked related to these specific elements and meridian lines to allow for a greater awareness to how your feelings and how you move through your day. 

During this 2 hour class we will explore how you can incorporate Thai Yoga Techniques on yourself and then you'll be taken deeper into a true yin class where you will receive hands on Thai Yoga Therapy also known as Thai Yoga Massage from Arielle Schmidt, Owner of Tranquility Rising. You’ll leave feeling lighter, more open and ultimately more aware of your body and what it might need in the future. 

Everything will be provided for you such as mats, bolsters, blocks, blankets, etc, but feel free to bring anything that allows you to be most comfortable in your yoga practice. If you have your own journal please bring it to class (note cards will be provided). During this type of class your awareness will be heightened and it can be useful to write down the thoughts that come to you at that moment in class. Many times we have those moments of complete clarity but they fade after we leave class. I want you to be able to take those thoughts of clarity and go deeper with them if you choose to.
